I believe the 1970 340 tips are shorter than the others.

Not talking Swingers but 1970 340 Dusters did not come with tips. Not until 1971

68-69 barracuda tips are unique

Not 100% sure if 70 swinger tips are 100% same as barracuda. I think most repro places sell them as the same though.

The place I bought mine from used to advertise in MCG year ago. I can't recall the name of the company, but I probably have the receipt somewhere.

The reason I know they are slightly shorter than the Barracuda ones is they used to offer the 70 340 Dart tips with a different part number than the others. If you run across any survivor 340 Dart pictures the exhaust tips don't poke out past the valance nearly as far as the reproduction one size fits all tips that so many cars have today.

I believe the 70 340 swinger tips have a longer hanger due to their having a rear valence where 68-69 darts sit up against the bumper. twocents

Not the best picture, but the originals sat tucked up further under the car - either by a different hanger position and/or shorter length tips.

The 70 Swinger tips are 14" overall in length. The bracket is located 3-7/8" in from the exit end of the tip with a stand of 1". These are designed for applications with lower rear valances.
68-69 Dart ,70 and up Duster, Demon and Sport models were equipped with the longer 17" overall tip. The bracket on these are 7-3/4" in from the exit end of the tip with a stand of 1".
Here you can find some pictures that might help.

This is how I put them on my sons 72 Dart. From the pics and cars I looked at they seemed to stick out a little farther but we did not like them out that far. So we put them on like this. Ron
