I'm sure Mike knows what he is doing.

I've seen the a set from Best Machine and they looked real good.

I know Scott at Koffels with do a set from time to time.

Just not sure about buying these heads that muscle motors did. Would muscle have done all the machining on them, or would modern have. I ask the guy if he could send one head to best machine so they could check it out before I purchased them, just does not seem to what to do it. Should I be concerned?

I bought a set from MM.

I don't know who did the port work but heads were junk!!!!

Have Best Machine, Modern or Slawko do them.

Had to have major rework to make them usable.

Ran 1/2 hour and dropped a valve seat.
They used 3/8-16 helicoils for rocker pedestals and they pulled out.
I had to have 1/2-13 Tine Certs installed.
No heli coils for intake bolts, just threaded the heads.
No heli coils for headers, just threaded the heads.
Sloppy install of the pushrod tubes.
Had to have rocker pedestals cut .070 to correct geometry.
They were pretty much unusable as received.

PSO headed 632 from MM. Cracked cylinder, loose valve seats, low oil pressure, low cylinder pressure.
..... Now its a door stop....

If I was having some done, I'd send them to Slawko or Modern. Both will require you to source castings

They repaired the dropped seat.

The rest I had repaired locally.

Slawko cnc'd mine and Self Racing finished as they built the engine...You'll get into lots of custom stuff making everything work right(rocker geometry-spacer under valve covers-intake spacer, etc, etc)

Mine are 80hp better than my originals that was on a n/a combo and PSO setup is a true nitrous deal...Engine builder said we're leaving between 50-75hp on the table with all the nos tricks !!

Not sure it's worth the coin yet as I just got mine back and it looks like I have to redo the headers also !!

Slawko has a great program for them. I plan to use Slawko for mine, my predator stuff is off and there now as well.
