My '14 Ram is giving some electrical issue and Im wondering if anyone has seen or heard anything.
the right side tail lamp does not light but the same bulb does signal and brake.

I replaced the bulb with a known working part with no positive results which led me to replace the socket assembly, still nothing changed.

did you check for power at the contacts first? check the ground, and then the wiring.

Does it have a hitch and wiring?If so look at the connector.They love to corrode.had problems with my sons when we hooked up the trailer as some lights did not work because the connector under the bed was corroded.rocky

Tom I did check and the voltage to that socket reads the same to the working side. My leads are not small enough to check the power coming into the socket. Im trying to locate smaller leads.

therocks, youre not the first guy to mention the trailer hook up. there is no corrision visually and I havent had any luck figuring out how to disconnect it. I dont want to break it.

fiddle with your turn signal lever and see. i'm looking forward to replacing that assembly on my Blazer cause the exact same problem.

if this is the std 1157 dual filament bulb which the large filament is for brakes/TS and the small one for running lights & you have no running lights on that side correct? that (running lights) is a 1 wire circuit so if one side is good then there has to be power back to the rear to wherever it T's at

its actually 3157 bulb but the same theory you mentioned.

14 did they have intigrated circuit where one wire powers up through strips in the assembley?I know we had a few that we had to replace the housing.My nephew has a 10 caravan and has trouble with rt tail light at times.Then at times his stop/turn dosent work right.Tried a new socket and it works for awhile then does the same.
