I have 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 2WD diesel. It still has the stock 265-70-17 tires. They look small for the truck and, since I need to get some new tires, I wondered if a larger sized tire could be used without causing issues. I don't really care too much about the width as much as the height. Just would like tires that are more in proportion with the truck using the stock rims. The old 2WD late 70s and 80s 3/4 ton trucks had tires with some tall sidewalls that really filled the wheel well. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Wailin

I know that a lot of guys run 285/70R17 on their 4WD trucks with 17 inch wheels.

I'm not sure though on a 2wd truck though.

Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol
