I owned a 66 and 67 coronet. the 66 was a 500 and the 67 was a 440 out of california.

I remember the sunken trunk for the spare for the 66 and I remember being suprised the one for the 67 wasn't deep enough for a spare tire. or maybe wasn't even there.

But I am seeing posts about them having one.
Am I just old and remembering wrong? or did cali have a different model? or was the one I owned messed up by someone else first?

it was sunken a little. is what I remember, not deep enough for a spare though like the 66.
I just remember being shocked when I pulled the cover back. I asked the owner why they didn't put the spare in the hole and found it wasn't deep enough.

You may have had a larger than stock tire and wheel combo for the '67. Those two cars have the same trunk pans.

must just be bad memory on my part. It had stocker tires on it when I bought it, with a stock in the trunk.
