71 cuda gas caps: 2 styles??? #2216926

Hi!

I know these are not original, but still they are said to be correct for the 71 cuda application.

Can anybody tell me whats the difference and what would be the one to get for some 71 cudas Im doing?

Im not interested in them being assembly line correct, I just need some brand new gas caps that will work with the ECS gas tank 71 fuel system and will screw on and fit right.

The later one looks like it would work assuming you have the correct short "tang" filler neck

Yes. The later style requires the deep tangs. Those are 72 and newer.

I just checked. seems all my 71s have the short tangs.

As they should be so you need the later one
