I am wiring a 1964 Dodge D100 with a hot rod wiring kit. They give one wire which is positive 12v. I have the trans wiring and connector, but not the mating connector.
I do not have back up lights in this truck, where would I wire the other two wires to? Most schematics show going to back up light switch. And where can I get the mating connector?

Thanks, Mike

Original 64 would have been a push button. Reverse lights were an option. The switch was in the pushbutton assy. If you now have a 66 and up trans you can use a 3 prong neutral safety switch. The center pin is ground for a starter relay. The outer 2 pins share continuity in reverse.

Without back up lights you only need the use the single wire that comes from the center of the trans NSS. It goes to the ground terminal of the starter relay. The other two outside wires are not needed unless you want back up lights. **This only applies if you have the newer style trans with the NSS on it.**

Stumpy, exactly what I wanted to hear, only connect to the center pin and not connect the other two. I installed 1974 440 and 727 trans for those who are curious.

Yep, spade connector to the center one and shrink wrap it maybe.
