A990 OP master Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 2,745 541 slobovia	My 99 Dakota is throwing a P1197 code "1/2 O2 sensor slow during catalyst monitor" Which of the O2s are the culprit? The "1/2" must mean something, but I can't figure it out. TIA Ken

SALEM1912 super stock Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 865 Southeast Pa.	If you have access to a scanner you would monitor the upstream and downstream o2 sensors Same reading on both would indicate a failed converter. As long as the reading is not max out lean or rich.
