I am seeking advice on what ride height to choose when purchasing
Calvert Racing’s Split Mono-Leafs for my 1968 Dodge Dart.

The wheel wells have been cut in replication of a Super Stock 1968 Hemi Dodge Dart, the leaf spring mounts have been relocated inboard, and the rear wheel wells have been widened (mini tubbed). I purchased brand new 31X14.50 Mickey Thompson ET Street rear tires.

Thank you for your assistance.

Are the tires gonna be tucked in? If they are I'd probably buy the one inch drop since your big tires are gonna make it sit higher in the back. I'm just guessing, I do not own caltracs.

Both myself and my brother opted for the stock(0)ride height. We had contemplated the -1's but were glad we didn't. If we had our cars would have looked like low riders.

Ok

I have the +1 inch mono in my 68 RR now, Im switching to the -1 as the back of the car sits to hi to get good weight transfer to the rear tires.
I will have a set of +1 mono leaf springs for sale soon.

I do run Caltracs and I agree with Prosport.

Edit: 31x14.50 in a mini tub?

I have the +1" on my 1969 GTX with 29" tires, and they settled out a little over the last couple of years. Also, if you go with spring sliders, that will make the rear sit about 1.5" lower. It did on mine.

I am putting on +1" on my 1968 Super Bee, and I am going the same setup...also I have 2 Yellow top Optima Batteries and a 20 Gallon Aeromotive Aluminum fuel cell in each car, and with a full tank, it sits about stock height.

I am going with Shackles with the Super Bee, so it will sit about 1" higher when the springs settle in. Believe me, they will settle in some over time.

that's a ton of tire for a mini tub.. so I assume the tire will be stinking outside of the wheel well.. I guess it would depend on what look you're going for

Is it ok to use lowering blocks with caltracs and mono springs? Just wondering since that could be an option if the car ends up sitting up a little too high.

Cool, I've used the blocks with regular leaf springs but wasn't sure about the caltracs. up

Lowering blocks will amplify axle rotation effects on Caltracs, It may help or it may hinder depending on your combination. We had to increase damping on extension to counter it.

How quick is your ride(I didnt see any times) but
the 9000 and the calverts both come from the same
company.. but if your car is quick ad can 60'hard
then you better look at quality shocks that are at
least single adjustable or double adjustable
wave
