I live in Northern Virginia and am looking for other opportunities to run The MoPig once it's track-ready again. I took a quick look at the 422 All Stars N/SS web site and it looks like they put an age cap at 1970 models. I can certainly "present" my Challenger as a '72, although it also looks like the rules might require me to dig up a Six Pack setup -- or an AFB??? -- too. (I'm trying to imagine the Weiand SS Six Pack intake on top of my raised-port Victors... and stuffed under my raised-scoop T/A hood. ) Is this something even worth looking into? Or would any N/SS series require me to jump through too many hoops to shoehorn my car into a class they run?

You should contact Mike Carr who runs the Tri-State Stock/Super Stock series in Ohio, PA, and MD. He pays out 100%, gets excellent car counts, and can get your challenger into one of the classes. It's open to any NHRA/IHRA legal s/SS, any car legal for 422, and is flexible with the rules (no fuel checks, engine tear downs, etc). I've raced with them the last three years and it's a blast. He has a section with contact info over on classeracer.com
