79 4wd ramcharger,orig 360 column shift tilt auto truck.What all shift linkage,if any is different from a small block to a big block? Just the cross shaft? Or frame side and tranny side brackets?

I'm not 100% sure, but I'm thinking all the shift linkage would be the same. I think the only difference between a small block vs big block transmission, would be the housing bolt pattern to the block.

I just did a 360 to 440 in the 77 W150 and all the shift linkage worked .

kickdown linkage is what you will have to find.

I used a 78 truck 3 piece on my 88-440 truck.

you will need

BB rear sump oil pan/oil tube and stick
(tube goes into pan)
(you will need to plug the hole in block for car oil dip tube if engine is sourced from a car.)

you will need a set of 4x4 BB motor mounts (4x4 are offset/driver side has clearance hole for oil pump bolt)

I would upgrade to a 7 blade fan on a HD max cooling thermo clutch/max cooling 4 core rad from a 78 3/4 ton BB truck.

rad is taller with 4 tubes and has a big metal fan shroud for 3/4 trucks

you may want to swap from the pancake booster to the smaller vac booster from a 78 BB truck for VC R&R clearance.

or use a 86 3/4 ton small booster along with the 86 pedal for hook up.
