see if this works. In the orange square is where my date stamp is. Hard to see with this photo but it's there. You can see it faintly. That's probably the assembly date

Cast 9/29 and probably assembled in 10 or 11/69. What is the OE "acceptable" range for PS pump casting to actual install date? Tom

5carguy = Based on the logic of reading the casting dates above, it looks like your date is 2-42-7, which obviously doesn't make any sense. That is an interesting date. What is the year and SPD of your Cuda?
Look at the part number on the box - that's not a 71 part.

Look at the part number on the box - that's not a 71 part. That is a box dated the 242nd day of 1977. The box part number is incorrect for a 71 car, it has obviously been changed out. Looks like the dating of these boxes changed between 1971 and 1977.
