Besides an actual diesel converter, what mods are needed for the 47RE to handle 650 ft lbs pulling 11k lbs?
May be closer to 550 to 600 ft lbs.

Better clutches, higher line pressures, billet converter, probably no need for a billet input shaft unless you plan to play hard too.
Call up firepunk diesel in plain city oh. They can handle your needs.

There are a world of upgrades for that trans. Google PATC transmission. I have also bought the billet servos from mrrandyj here. Check transmission and differential parts for sale section here. They are really nice pieces.
