Local produce company had a hillbilly resto'd 900 truck (painted with a paint brush). Was still VERY cool. I'l dig having that as my tow rig.

I couldn't tell the drivetrain and it wasn't for sale. Think they were just did a quicky resto on one of their oldest trucks. you can see the new produce hauling semis in the background.

Couple more pics. Interior was unrestored.

Nice truck. The "dog box" engine cover well back in the cab suggests it may be an inline engine. I drove an International of that vintage and general type with a 6-71 Detroit engine and 10 speed Fuller Road Ranger transmission. Nothing quite like the sound of a Detroit screaming heard through 1/4" of fiberglass dog box...

I drove one of those for awhile back around 1980 as a car carrier. Had a 6-71 Detroit in it and a 10 speed. That thing would wear you out.

I wonder what the story is with the steering wheel bungees.

I have no use for it, but I'd love to have one. Dad used to drive one with a Perkins Diesel for a mobile home dealer, he'd go to the factory and pick up the new trailers. There's is one local, a roll off company used, looks ruff from the road. Owner retired several years ago.
thanks for sharing.

The original Big Horn.

Funny IH was mentioned, they did team up on some trucks of this era.

The Dodge Power Giant 1000 was equipped with a 549 IH gas V8.

That one likely has a 6-71 Detroit or a 250 Cummins judging by the doghouse in it.

I started my driving career in a C800 like that one. 413 with a 5 and a 2 speed diff.
