the water pump, do they make a short nose water pump ( i know its not a chevy ). is there anything i can do to get this combo to fit. it looks really nice fan is the perfect size.

(1) thank God) (2) you could mill the rear of the water pump housing(BB) to shorten it or mill the front of the timing cover(SB) to make it shallower. You could also check if the cross behind the pulley can be pressed further onto the shaft(check if the pulley will clear the pump for the amt you are moving it)

I used a fan off of a 1995 T-Bird before and needed just a hair more room. I trimmed the plastic shroud for the fan so it mounted closer to the radiator. Think I gained around 1/2" or so, which in my case was perfect
(and used it for many years mounted that way..)

If its a smallblock, I did the engine swap in my Dakota. I had to use a cast iron pump off a pre 70 smallblock. Thats the only engine with a shorter pump that I know of.
