Good one, Dave. Never even considered skinny redlines for my RR, but it's a "day-2" deal and blows off even a set of 295/50R15s in 1st & 2nd.
Gotta be GYs for the 100% guys, though.
Hell, for $450, someone could make redlines in a more traction-oriented compound, couldn't they.....

so do you think they are going to sell any at that price?
or a better question is when will kelsey tire realize that no ones going to bite on that price?
$450.00 plus shipping. thats like $2000.00 for just the rollers, not including a spare.

Nevermind the tires, we know they're coming out and they will be pricy. BUT, what ever happened to Paul and those repop " H " rims ?? 2 years have gone by and still NO updates.

Later, BUZZ

Thanks for the update Chris. I have the original Goodyear spare for my car and have collected 4 h wheels over the years waiting for tires, so I will probably get a set. I really love the look of the Goodyears.

I have got use to being broke doing this car, so what is the difference. I just ordered up a shoebox of engine trinkets from Frank Baldason and it was over $800. No knock of Frank, he was a pleasure on the phone and an asset to a restorer especially with A12's, it is what it is.

Rick.

RICK,before you order them wait a little while, i have a email into kelsey showing the displeasure of everyone who ones a A12 car on moparts.
if no one buys them at that price either they will drop in price to sell some or they will just go away altogether.
when they say they did arun of them, i wonder how many were made, im think ing 500 or 1000 tires.

I was hoping to buy some for my A12 too, but a $450 each, I'll probably pass.

some friends of mine and I have boughten several tires off him in the past and have been there to pick them up. I do know that living in MO and having a dealers license he has given us a break on some tires.

I can't say wheather or not he is making a profit on these, but you do have to figure that he may only sell around 200-300 sets. Since most cars will only see one set for the rest of their lives, that leaves very few resells. Still a good retail sum, but we don't know what the expense of the mold is.

I think a 69 Corvette, but am not 100% sure. But, yes, there was a bowtie that used them. Again, just a limited model.

A friend has a Pink AAR and he luckily has originals. I printed out the info on the E's and I was thinking they were $350-375.

comparing the E60-15 to the G70-15 isn't a fair comparison/
As far as I know the only other car to use the G70-15 was a late 60's big bodied GM, I'm thinking maybe impala????
The E60-15 was used on all kinds of intermediate cars from GM and AMC - so your sales potential is much greater.

As far as an initial production run, I would lean towards less than 500 tires total. And if they don't sell my bet is it's the only run

Talk to Jim Miner and see if a group buy is possibile. He's a Goodyear store owner( aka Kelsey tire sales outlet ) AND a vintage Mopar owner

I am going to get a set and give the firestones to my hemi car. Hey. thats my choice. I talked to John Kelsey last March and he said the possibility of them repopping the G 70-15 was high... I am glad it is going to happen.

Chris: I think that you are one of two people that have replied that they would buy a set at these insane prices so I wouldn't worry about a sell out
There will no doubt be a surplus and eventually a sale! Don't feel cheap guys it's pretty much the same reaction on the A12 Forum

If you've waited this long and don't really need them, boycott them and let them sit in the warehouse till next fall.

Price would have to come down to a more sane level.

I seem to remember one of those vettes having them also. I thought a 67 427 car, but I could be wrong.

Restoring a car to look "only" as good as the factory made it is like getting a boob job for your wife and having the doctor make them two different sizes to seem more natural

We had a Corvette person tell us when this came up in the past or it may have been Kelcey's themselves say that there were no Corvette's that came with the G-70 Redlines? I wonder if they have made an initial run or if they are waiting for orders? I think the A12's are the only market...and, especially at that price, you would have to believe that the sales are not going to be too brisk! Whatever the case may be, they may be hard to come by after the initial run because of lack of response at that price?
