Are you saying the valves opened .424 and .436 or is that the lobe lift work

those numbers were valve lift and it is a hyd flat tappet.

When you take off the valve covers and find all the left and right hand rockers on the wrong sides i figured it was time to tear it down and do it right.

That would put some fear in ya
You might try calling Crane and see if
those numbers are theirs... or they MIGHT
know who

This is a Crane part number 969361. It's the BluePrinted (computer-smoothed) equivalent of the factory 2899206 hydraulic lifter camshaft that was original equipment in the 275HP 340 cu.in. 4bbl engines. Cam lobe lift is .2861" intake, .2958" exhaust. Gross valve lift with the standard 1.5:1 rockers is .429" intake, .444" exhaust. Lobe separation is 114 degrees. The duration at .050" tappet lift is 210 degrees intake, 221 degrees exhaust. Cam timing at .050" is: intake opens 8 ATDC, intake closes 38 ABDC, exhaust opens 45.5 BBDC, exhaust closes 4.5 BTDC. This particular cam was produced the 4th week of 1987. Regards, Chase
