Car is finally back home. I picked it up a few weeks ago but I have been busy finishing up a bathroom remodel so I fought the urge to get started on it.

Got my remodeling project finished so it's time to get started. I'm going to try and follow resto rick's assembly process as much as possible. I figure he has done it more than me. Thanks for posting the list Rick. First up is the trunk gasket so I installed the newly polished lock so I could open and close the trunk as needed.

It went very smooth. I read a few post on how others had installed theirs. I used the 3m yellow adhesive. I did it in short sections. Put glue on the body then pressed gasket in place for a second , them pulled it away and let the glue dry for a few minutes. Then just press in place and move on. I tested a few pieces and this way seemed to give the best bite.

The interior was not painted to save some dollars. I wanted some extra protection and a better surface to glue insulation and sound deadner to so I'm painting it black. Befoe pic.

Thanks Rick.
I like using "punch lists" like this when we are re-assembling a kitchen or bathroom. There are absolutely sequence of event type issues that can make life miserable if "un-sequenced!"

Last one. Just a note to anyone doing this type of resto. I highly recomend putting the dash in as an assembly, it really went smooth.

Found some time to work on the car this weekend and made some progress. Finished the brake lines.
