I was waiting for my yellow cap battery to die and it finally did... I have seen where guys have done this on a red cap group 27 but not a yellow 24 so I thought I would give it a shot. Seems to have worked out fine. I have lots of other pictures if anyone needs to see anything else.

Does your car start up well? Nice job! List the supplies/fasteners that you used for hook up.

Battery is in a T/A and seems to crank fine. I doubt it would work very well in Minnesota outside in January... Cable connectors are just from my junk box of salvaged electrical panels except for the ones coming off the battery. Those I made. Just be prepared to take some time to remove all the plates and dividers.

Not really too much to see. The bottom connectors just bolt directly down to what was left of the post connectors. I bored and tapped a 1/4x28 thread right into the lead. Just be careful when tightening as to not pull the threads out of the lead.

Nice work. Did the same thing with a red top but the PC925 would not turn over my 440-6 when it was hot. Cold fine.

Is there a slightly larger spec battery that would fit in a Red top?
