Any body else experienced automatic door locks that: lock/unlock - lock/unlock repeatedly when the vehicle is first driven after being shut off for even a few minutes. They will eventually quit but it goes on for a few minutes before they do. This is on an 05 T&C minivan.

Don, you're supposed to be answering all the questions, not asking them.

I don't have any personal experience with this symptom, but it sounds like an issue with the wonderful BCM. At the risk of stating the obvious, some ideas:

1. The ol' disconnect the battery for 10 minutes to reset the computer approach.

2. Try toggling off/on/off the user programmable doors-lock-automatically-at-15mph setting. It's in the owner's manual, and has something to do with the ign key and/or brake pedal and bowing three times to the East.

3. Look into TSB 08-040-04. It doesn't cover your symptoms exactly, but it does have to do with re-flashing the BCM related to the functioning of the automatic door locks.

Down to just a blue car now.

yes there is a reprogram for the bcm in a tsb. what i have done on most of them is unhook battery cables and touch togeather to discharge the capacitors in the bcm. then hook back up and try them it usually works for awhile

Well guys I appreciate all the tips but when the wife brought the van home at noon she asked me to do something with it after she got back to work I should pick it up. (note it was doing it every time she used it yesterday, last evening and this morning). I went to pick it up and all is well. Can't chase something that is working. I have been driving and shutting the thing down several times this afternoon to try get it to act up and it works fine. BTW it did it for me last nite too so it isn't her imagination.

Maybe one of the doors isn't closing all the way.

I had a vehicle speed sensor do that on a mid 90's Caravan. But it freaked out the speedo also. Also called output speed sensor? Just a thought.

I haven't experienced the problem you are having but I have a problem with the driver side door lock on my Cherokee. When the weather is hot in the summer, the power door lock won't lock using either the keyless remote or the power lock switch. I have to lock it manually from the outside with the key. In the cool/cold weather it works fine.

i had that problem with my 97 caravan during the cold weather here, the sliding door was cracked open but not enough to set the door ajar light on...it got that way when i tried to open the door, but the ice froze the door...guess that left it open just enough...when driving, the door locks go on and off...i thought of the bcm also but just re slammed all the doors...
