I believe this is a 440 or hemi valve body.

I thought that 2466886 was hemi and 440 only

Is the 68 number by the clock the year ?

You can't tell the application by the raised casting numbers. Only way to know the application is if there is 2/3 digit number punched through the sheet steel separator plate in which case it is the last digits of the valve body part number. The late '68 casting date and the hump for the high-pressure relief ball makes yours a '69 unit.

The factory parts catalog is the guide.

No need to disassemble the VB, the punched number is visible with the VB assembled. The use of punched ID numbers didn't start until around '71 so there's no accurate way to tell what an earlier VB is correct for since the same castings were used for all installations in any given year.

A close look at the parts catalog shows very few different parts in the VB and, when there are differences, there are no part numbers on the individual parts so the only way to ID them is comparison of known parts.
