What is the proper etiquette for posting vin numbers from blocks and trannys in the hopes that someone can be reunited with their match. I have a few motors sitting around four of which are HP blocks. One with the matching 18 spline still attached. I wont be getting to them for a while (if ever) sooooo... How can I find out what model cars they came from? All there is is the last 8 of the vin right? Any other way to know. And where would I post the info?

I think that if I found a match an even swap for the same would be fair right? Sorry for rambling on but I think it would be cool If I could play match maker.

That is cool. Here is a link to the section here to do the posting.

post the casts and partials, someone will tell you the possible cars they are from and then you can post in the "lost and found" on the various websites.
Even swap is more than fair If shipping is involved they should cover the freight for both imo.
