Does a Carter M6270 fuel pump require the use of a pressure regulator? According to them, it doesn't, but I was hoping to hear from folks who actually use one.

with a rated output of 6.9 to 8.1 it would depend on the carb(S) that you're using.

Edelbrocks and some factory carbs do not like more than 6 PSI, Holleys typically want 7 or so but may tolerate the 8.1

No actual exp with that pump but the ones I've checked (even mech ones) all seem to put out more PSI than what they are rated which is OK if you reg it down as needed
