Have Monte send you a kit. Then you could run nines too (if you were running). Problem solved.

I like the scoop on Rick's blue Challenger T/A much better than the Landy lump. Nothing wrong with a scoop on a 10 second car!

Anyone know how tall a Drag Pak scoop is?

I like the " lump" as well as the Drag Pak scoop. I don't think you will go wrong with either part.

How much extra space will you get with the Landy scoop?

I think this is the SS/D car that NHRA declared illegal in tech at the 1974 or 1975 Winternationals (CRS realcrazy)and then later allowed it to race after some political input from the Mopar factory drag racing engineers in the form of some factory letters declaring that hood and other non standard parts as original factory installed parts on the late production 1971 hemi 4 speed cars whistling work shruggy
AKA aside, I saw that car there and didn't realized that the scoop had been modified confused
I like it up

I like the Landy Lump TA scoop and thats what I would do if I were you. I am not a fan of the bigger or taller stock style scoops. Like was said do what you want but I think the lump TA scoop looks fine on a Challenger. Ron

I put a 5" six pack scoop on a lift off glass hood on my car. I don't know how to post pics on here anymore, but it's the same look as the red mr.norm 71 hemi challenger.
It's obnoxious for sure. But so am I....lol

The lump is part of mopar history so how can you argue with that? The thing is you have to do it correctly, if you don't it will look @#%&ed up.

Have a great day

The Landy "Lump" scoop looks like part T/A at the front, and part Six Pack at the rear.

Do it correctly? There is no "correctly". That was likely done in a last minute thrash when the hood would not fit...........LOL!!! If more than one hood, pretty large possibility no two are alike

Don't like the lump, its main purpose was Probably just for clearance, like your looking to do. In that case, if I were to do it. Id open up the whole scoop, as others have stated, and oh yeah, don't screw it up. laugh2

Going to section the top and raise the whole thing up 1.5"; it'll look a lot like a Drag Pak scoop on a first gen Challenger.

I am guessing by saying do it correctly he means do it to look as close to how it looked on Landy's car when Landy ran it. Unless Landy modded it more and had more then one look on his Lump scoop on his car. I dont think anyone else ran one like that other then Landy as far as I can remember but I may be wrong. Ron
