Bingo. We have a whole new generation of thin skinned people in this World today. They would have NEVER survived working in the steel mill. LOL.

I get that, I deal with a lot of crap too especially with the younger guys I deal with. Hiring people now days is hard and you have to let a lot run off your back, but sometimes you get to your boiling point and cant take a ounce more.

I know Ive been there, Popped off to guys in the shop, made snide remarks, etc etc, but in the end it all seems kinda stupid. Especially after we look back after its said.

Growing up sux! I don't like it.

Pitt, Im still planning on tearing my 408 down this winter, Ill be calling ya when I do along with Thumper for some carb work...

Well Ron is no spring chicken so I doubt it was a think skinned thing. Likely more just tired of certain folks crapping all over others. We all have lives to lead and some do not like conflict. Other thrive on it...

I could have not said it better Al. One of my biggest grievances was that the Mods let people crap all over certain manufactures and persons with no intervention. And yet, you cannot cuss? Amazing.

I recently early retired because of this very same concept. And, I absolutely LOVED my Job and I feel I had one of the best and coolest jobs there, AND I made good money. But, guess what? They had a bunch of new idiots managing the place, so EVERY day I would go in wondering what kind of crap are they going to come up this time? Every day.

Now, I race my Hellcat every week at Irwindale and run occasionally at Famoso and California Dragway. I cannot stress this enough, but the Hellcat makes you into a rock star. So, yes I am having lots of fun.

I met Ron once and bought some piston and rods from him. He gave me some advice on my w5's. He showed me the blue demon and it was obvious he was very knowledgeable and meticulous. I can also agree with him not wanting to argue naked with a bunch of guys I guess some guys are into that. I believe there are much better things to do in life.

What are you doing to keep busy Ron?
Do you know what happened to your old 440 Dart convertible? Gene Buehl told me he owned it at one time after you sold it in VTVL work

I was there that day the videos were done, and the first pass it stood on the bumper, and smashed his nice new headers, it was an amazing to car to see in person, his attention to detail was spot on.

I have no idea what happened to that car. Maybe got sold to some Japanese Guy and exported?

I have been racing my Hellcat. Put 272 passes on it. I sold it as soon as the 2018 Demon was on the official Dodge web site back in Jan/Feb.

I have the money for the car and I am in a real good position to get one. I hope to get one from Glendora Dodge. I am dealing with Matt from Parts and the Gen Manager Lonnie and he seems to be sincere.

Cab, I worked at SCE for 25 years and at CalTech for 13 years and I LOVED my Job at CalTech. But they changed out all the management and then I walked out one day and never went back. The last straw was they screwed with my lunch.

Wish me luck on that SRT Demon. It will be amazing.

Ron.
