Flange offset? IIRC it's 2.36".

Yes that's it. Is that the std or a body number

I think it might change small bolt pattern vs big bolt. I have dual pattern axles from moser for small and big bolt. My car was originally a small bolt and the offset is 2.36". I just measured this for my Dana 60 build.

I was thinking that 2.36" was for the standard 8 3/4 and Dana. Call Drdiff, he can answer any questions you have.

Are you wanting the differences in the axle lengths between a Dana 60 on the passenger side and driver sides( 8 3/4 axles are the same length on both sides) or are you wanting the distance between the axle flanges and the rear end axle bearing mounting flanges?

Was looking to do the rear disc and aerospace components wants axle to housing space. I was hoping I could get it with out taking tire off.

On factory BBP axles, the "A" dimension is 2.525"

On '65 and newer 5 x 4.5" bolt pattern axles, the distance from the inside of the wheel bearing retainer to the outside edge of the the axle flange measures 2.4". Because the bearing retainer bolts on TOP of the brake backing plate, the offset actually measures 2.525".

Unfortunatley, companies like Wilwood and others don't realize brake offset is measured from the housing end to the outside edge of the axle flange. This is where the incorrect 2.36" (2.4") terminology originated.

I took off tire and got 2.562 outer axle to drum backing plate. The backing plate is 1/8 thick so my math comes to 2.687

Stock Mopar axles measure 2.525" on the non adjuster side. The other side varies because of the wheel bearing adjuster.
