Before he explodes on someone and either he or someone else gets hurt. And he could sure use a GOOD crew chief to help him out. He seems to have lots of issues and a lot of bad passes.

4 second cars are a hand full. If you had a punk without a car harassing you everywhere you go you will have anger issues too

I always try to remember that this is a TV show, and most of us really don't know these guys. But solely based on what we see on TV; I agree he doesn't come across as someone that would be fun to be around, which may have something to do with why his crew does not appear to be guys that know their stuff very well??

Again, James Goad (??) could very well be a great guy just playing Up a roll for the TV show ???

Monte would most likely know who James Goad really is. I think he's done work on the car. I wouldn't expect him, or anyone, to throw shade at anyone on a web-board, though.

James is a great guy, he really is.......but he is NOT putting on for the camera. He HATES Justin McDaniels, as does most everyone else. You guys just don't know the story. When James got through with him, there would only be a wet spot left, so he has shown good restraint by not beating him to a pulp...........LOL!!!!

And yes, James car is likely one of the fastest cars on the show, but he is his own worst enemy with careless mistakes

The car definitely showed what it could do on the pass that he left a tic early. At least these guys have a nice place to race and lay down passes like they do. Much better than the short-lived New Orleans show.

I used to like Daddy Dave, but now he seems to full of himself. I'm sure a lot of it is for the show. I like the show can't wait for Monday nights. I just don't think it will last much longer.

Not exactly on topic, but.....
The "list" racing format needs some tweaking IMO.

Not that I'm really anyone to say how it should go down..... But my suggestions would be:

- if you just got beat, and want to re-race the person who just beat you on the same race night......it's going to require you to put up $500. If you win, you keep the $500 and earn the spot. If you lose, the $500 goes to the other person.

- if you get beat, you can't call out the person who just beat you until enough time has gone by to allow the person below you to call you out.....like 10mins or so. That person calling you out would have to be ready to run you that night for the callout to be valid.

- if you just got beat, and the person below you didn't call you out, but the person you just raced can't/won't re-run you that same night after they have been called back out by you and you have to wait a week for a rematch, then the $500 rule doesn't apply.
The $500 rule would only apply for a rematch on the same night.

It seems to me the guy needs a different hobby. He's always pissed off.

All the wrecks and whining about leaving early, etc. just makes me think that racing on a drag strip eliminates most of the second guessing on who left early, who crossed first, etc. Too much drama for me. I'd be more interested in the technical part of the cars, tuning, set up, etc. They don't show much of that.

I agree something needs to change.

So it's not just me. Justin comes across now as nothing but a DD nutswinger.

Too bad James was too quick on the light, 'cuz I'd have like to see DD lose one on a "no excuses" pass.

Did anyone see any preview for next week? If there was one, I missed it.

Im trying to understand what you mean with the last part of your statement. The short-lived New Orleans show. Do you think they have been dropped?

I honestly thought maybe it was cancelled as it hasn't been on for quit awhile. I don't really enjoy the show as much with all the chuck n jivin and bad races (LOTS of traction issues) but if it returns I will still watch it.

I liked the spin off show. It was better than watching the wife's "lifetime men hating network" Its the only reason I get the TV back.
Besides that Maverick is a blast to watch drag racing on gravel.

I know it would never be interesting enough to the GP to stay on air, but....

I would love to see a drag racing show, about drag racing. No personalities, not about people, just cars, drive trains, electronics, tires, tracks, transporters ect. All of us know what it takes to go racing at whatever level we do. For new people interested in it, they really have no idea where to even start. All the stuff we take for common knowledge, isn't.

I talk to guys all the time that like messing around with their cars, and get excited when someone helps gets them down the track for the first time. From there, think about the process you went down learning what you know now. I know I took so many financial beatings, and went the wrong way being excited, and stupid I'm surprised sometimes I stayed in.

The show could still pimp parts, and cars manufacturers, and whatever, but be tied to online resources that can actually be of benefit to new guys, or old guys moving up. High level detail tech.

The sport needs new people that have the time, and money. The stuff on television related to drag racing keeps a good deal of people out, because they don't like the crowd they see. I know it works both ways, and it may be also drawing some in, as is. I'd just like some air time devoted to the normal 9-5 guy who isn't interested in that type environment, but wants to race.

Yes, same Justin.

Season 2 of the New Orleans show has been filmed. I think it's supposed to air in Jan maybe?

I think reaper really is a good guy. If someone called me stupid, I'd have the same reaction. Maybe worse. Maybe I need anger management...
Is it me, or did Justin hate Dave when he quit plan b? Now he's following him around

$500 isn't enough more like aThousand would be better, put up or shut up. Worse than buy-backs at the track, too easy to get back in. First time is normal, second time pay the Bucks.
