Imrare OP enthusiast I Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 291 St. Louis	I am restoring the steering column on my 1970 'Cuda. According to the parts book, the column should be painted suede "Jewel Black". When I disassembled the steering column the base plate and retainer collar were painted "Gloss" black while the body of the column was painted suede black. Is that correct? Should the base plate and retaining collar be the same paint as the column or should those items be Gloss black?
