Don't they use the springs off of an Omni or one of those front wheel drive cars? I think I remember a Stock racer with a 74 Dart sport that had a lightened hood and bent it in the middle when he went to close it. After he got a new chemically cleaned hood he told me he got springs at pick a part off of a front wheel drive car.

who is the moparts member that sells the a-body hood springs for use with a glass hood? I haven't seen and ad this past month.
thanks I got mine at a wrecking yard. There were lots of vehicles with that type of hood spring and I ended up bringing home 3 sets to try. The ones I saw on a ford truck were almost identical to my Barracuda springs. I got a set off a Dakota and a Jeep and a FWD car, all with different number of coils, spring width and spring thickness.
