Hey Guys! What would be my best carb spacer option to replace the throttle stop on a -1, 4500 setup for all out brackets?

One that is the same height and bolt pattern as the throttle stop twocents up
I have a Wilson 1.5 or 2.0 reversion spacer on my current 505 C.I. low deck E85 motor with a Biondo brand C.O.2 throttle controller hook up to the 4500 E85 carb. mounted on my 400-3 intake operated by a Biondo 400 box off of time and it shifts the shifter by RPM shruggy

If you go to an open spacer and your carb is internal linkage, make sure you use a shear plate of some kind.

How thick is the t-stop. I run a Moroso 1/2" wooden 4-hole spacer under my dommy even though I have external linkage and feel it smooths things out under the "hollow" main body`s the dommys have. A wilson type of tapered has it`s bennies but from what most say, they need a bit more jet but who knows there as I've never used one...........I always prefer wood over plastic(melt/warp)or alum...............

Thanks! I was looking at the Wilson ones but don't know anything about taper, open, etc.

I am looking for a spacer now to replace a 1" NOS plate and my carb has all kinds of linkage that looks like it could fall into the motor that I would like to contain. 2" venturis into a open rectangular plenum. Suggestions? Shear plate or one like a super sucker? Does that name imply the buyer?

The 4 into 1 taper type spacers tend to work the best. I've run a bunch of dyno tests over the years on spacers and the taper type spacers almost always make the most power.

My 434 small block made 13 more hp with a 1" Super Sucker than no spacer on the Indy intake. It also helped balance the afr's from bank to bank. The guy that owns the engine shop that dynoed my engine says he sells a bunch of Super Suckers after guys see the difference on the dyno.

I put a 2" tapered spacer on when I take my TS-5 Throttle stop off.

Is it a Wilson deal Dustin? Got a pic? I think that the Wilson 4 hole tapered deal is what I want to try?

Google tapered carb spacer.

There are literally dozens of them.

Yeah I can see that. We typically see 10 to 15 hp improvement from a 1" taper type spacer on a 600+ hp bracket type motor. Pretty cheap hp compared to some other tricks that guys pay big bucks for.

TrickFlow has some moderately priced tape spacers that work. Wilson stuff is expensive but lightweight. Summit carries some really cheap stuff that probably works just as well but doesn't last as long.

I have made and tested various spacers, I find an open taper with an anti reversion spacer works best.

Thanks for all the input as I have seen dozens of different ones. I just didn't know which one? I'll hit Al up at some point. I think the "Turkey Trots" will be rained out next weekend at Sonoma as it's raining here now and supposed to keep it up for a week or so. Thank God for our lakes and rivers. I bet the old Challenger will run in the 8's with the throttle stop replaced with the spacer.
