I recently purchased cosmoleen in an aerosol can and sprayed it on my bare metal lower control arms hoping to get the same look as the factory dipped ones.

I sprayed it on heavy and any extra just ran off. It looked Amber color till it dried now it's pretty much clear.

Does anybody have a particular product of cosmoleen that has worked well with getting the factory Amber color to stay?

Thanks

This what I use. Works and looks great. Drys to a wax like finish.

That is what I use. After it dries I coat it with flat clear to seal.

Why try to fake it when you can buy direct?

In my line of work I've tried everything.....the absolute best product on the market today is this military grade cosmoline. Protects forever, dries fast and one coat will do ya. It also goes on heavier and dries darker (more amber-like) in color.

The military direct is what I used. I don't think it looks factory color?

I used the Krylon battery spray it dries completely and appears to be a paint not a coating
