NHRA should eliminate Pro Stock and replace it with this: http://www.nhra.com/story/2016/11/3/nhra-factory-stock-showdown-expands-to-five-events-in-2017/More interesting, more competitive, more competitors, less cost, cars run in the 8's, they look like what we see on the street, you can buy one from your local dealer, etc, etc. A lot like pro stock was before it became a class that doesn't share a single part with any factory car. And they call them "factory hot rods". I'd much rather see the factory stock show down on TV. 8.0's! These cars are incredible! http://www.nhra.com/story/2016/9/2/2016-indy-notebook-other-news/Take the blowers off the pro mod cars and leave those for funny cars where they belong. Just two-cents worth from an old-timer.

Highly doubt PS is on the chopping block. Wayyyy too much money in it right now from the parties that are invested. Plus a couple of newcomers. Sucks that the NA cars were removed from factory stock. That took away some of the entertainment value to me.

They need to give the FS cars their own eliminator and get them out of Stock, especially at Indy.

I proposed to NHRA a sort of Jr. Pro Stock before the Hemi Chargers came out 10 years ago. It fell on deaf ears. Some of the tech people at NHRA had proposed similar class rules but management didn't go for it. It seems like NHRA lets other sanctioning bodies get a class going before they adopt it (like Pro Mod).
