I don't see why not just as long as you don't have go through fuel check at the races.
I sell VP M2 upper lub for methanol and it about that viscosity, IMO. Which don't mean sh!t!

Use at your own risk but I bet it won't hurt.

Upper lube helps, but does not make your alcohol fuel system maintenance free. Should still drain it and blow out alcohol fuel lines when not in use. We drained our fuel system after every race to prevent corrosion. Used plenty of WD40 too in our fuel system to store stuff. Spray it in and blow it through.

Thanks, I had done a google search and came up empty. I did find where Marvel Mystery oil wasn't compatible. Jim

easy to find out, put both in a clear jar and see if it separates.

I think I would use the proper lube designed to work with that poisonous and corrosive methanol alcohol work twocents
Have you ever heard of stock two stroke marine motors running on straight methanol confused

Why not use a product specifically made for this? I use Klotz Fuel lube, 18 years on my injection system and all I do is fill the tank and put the car away. I finally took the whole system apart and replaced all the hose and lines for safetys sake. Fittings were in great shape except for two or three that had a little corrosion and were iffy for reuse.

back in the day most guys used castor oil as a fuel lubricant when using Methanol. It dissolves better in methanol than regular oil. My first injection set up was an old Hilborn, and the guy I bought it from told me about it. He also would flush system by running on gasoline till it ran rough and then dumped a little castor oil in the pump and cranked it a few revolutions. Then it was good to sit in the garage for the winter.

The guys who fly RC planes still use it.

this thread has a chemical description why it works well as a fuel additive.
