Just curious when I was checking out a challenger 440 RT SE car the other day the Headliner was like a velour material. I did not feel the rods that go across the roof on a typical ebody. It felt like there was a cardboard backing piece where the material is glued to it. Anyone out there that has experience on these over head console cars?

You are righot it has cardboard backing, no rods, velour type material is correct. Is it in decent shape?

Go here if not.

Hello NANKET How you been? No the liner was hanging down in almost all the areas except for the OH console which was in nice shape and was ripped away around the small back window. Thanks for the Web sight. The car was nice very little rust but he wants more than I'm willing to pay right now. The dash was perfect for being 46 years old

Fixing the drooping headliner would involve simply replacing the foam backed material...If by chance the headliner itself is bad moparts member Dayclona makes a great replacement I'd use him IMO...

Those overhead consoles were a great option back in the day...Added a little class to the interior.. up
