Anyone happen to know what one weighs? Or a 70 E-body seat since they look very similar. I'm just curious how much weight I could shed going to an aluminum Kirkey seat in my street/strip car. Thanks!

No scale here, but maybe 35 - 50 pounds or so each for OEM?

But they will look better than anything aftermarket.

Lol
I'm undecided on the seat change, but a 5-point harness doesn't feel like it would work the best with a stock seat. In my opinion, Kirkeys with a black vinyl cover are the next best option. I do like the look of the factory seats.

Stock eliminator guys cut a hole in the seat to put the harness through. That was the old days when they had to use factory seats, now kirkeys are legal.

I have a real 70 Charger bucket I can weigh tomorrow.

I'd appreciate it if you could get me that weight. It saves me unbolting mine someday to check. I want to see if it's enough savings to worry about. An aluminum kirkey with cover, minus brackets, weighs 14 lbs.

I loved how mine looked but they provided poor lateral support for spirited street driving. I swapped in seats from a 2005 Neon SRT 4. They are noticeably lighter and feel as if they were made to fit me. Amazing.

I put the 2010-11 Challenger drag pack seats in mine, they also were much lighter than my 68 seats.

Thanks, Dan. That gives me a pretty good idea +/- 5 lbs, I'd guess.

No woorries, sir! I just wanted to get an idea so I could decide if swapping seats would be worthwhile. Shedding 50-60 lbs for $500-$600 isn't bad, but Kirkey seats sure won't look as good as what I have now.

Interior is basically 100% stock appearing other than Autometer gauges in the stock cluster, the shifter, and roll bar. It does have a back seat.

Your interior sure looks nice, if it were mine I would just put myself on a diet.

The first and third pictures look like the forest at night without a moon.
