Can someone swing by Jamie's booth at Carlisle and get us an update on the A855? I guess no one went past the Passon booth at Carlisle....how about the Nats? Can someone swing by and get an update on the status of the A855 for us at the Nats?

I got on the list two years ago-and was told it will be another 10 months to a year until I get my unit, when at their booth at Carlisle. This was from one of their team at the booth-not from Jamie directly.
Doesn't bother me, as I placed my order expecting it would be take a long time.

I was slated to get mine in June, but the 1st gear issues have delayed that. I am 187 and I have a Ebody. I will be going to the NATS and I WILL talk to Jamie personally. If no one reports back before me I'll have some info to provide.

The trans is popping out of first gear intermittently... One of mine jumps out of 4th gear pretty often. Only forth. It has not jumped out of any of the other gears.

I spoke with Jamie at the NATS... Again they are dealing with another bump in the road. I'll let him give the specifics if he wants to go that deep again, but they have a solution and it's in process. You can tell Jamie is really worn down with this project, but he still pushes on. I encouraged him he's doing us a great service and to keep pushing through. I am one who's not pressed to receive my unit, but I do look forward to getting it! Hope this helps.

Yes, more info would be helpful. I called to inquire about the feasibility of getting on the list and was told about a future price increase, that they had encountered an issue that they are working on and that no expected lead time could be provided. I asked for some more detail but he stated that he'd prefer not to provide detail at this time. He seemed really frustrated but I don't understand why the secrecy about issues. It would seem transparency would reduce rumors and negative speculation. I wanted to order one of his five speeds a while back but got no info so started down the Tremec path. Then I changed my mind on the Tremec and wanted to go back with the Passon plan. Now maybe back to plan B2 will be best.....?

Soon this thread will be 6 years old... No possible way I could wait that long I could see how some can wait if they are not building a new project and will throw the tranny into what ever they have at the time Can also see how frustrating it would be if building a project and wanting to incorporate the new tranny into the build Hopefully things will work out for him

They have new sliders that have been tested and approved. Based on Jamie's standards.... these will be just fine. I'm really impressed that they're taking the time to test these units before shipping!
