I remember years ago an Infomercial for Duralube that used a /6 . I just recently ran across this. Once agin a Mopar, but this time a small block.

Is there a scientific reason they use Mopar engines in these torture tests?

Chevies suffer from stage fright.

I want to die like my Grampa, peacefully, in his sleep. Not screaming in terror like his passengers.

Several years ago at a local trade show the Prolong guy had a /6 on the stand, oil pan off, idling away....I stood there & watched, talked to the rep for awhile, eyeballed his HOT girlfriend for a long time, left, came back about an hour later & it was still running.

I made a remark along the lines of "Well, of course it's not gonna seize up...it's a Slant 6!" The dude said "You wouldn't believe how much I hear that.."

+2 When they spray it with the fire hose it actually cools the motor too.

I have seen them supposedly do it with a Viper motor though.

We destroyed a slant6 at a show a few years back. Drained the oil, stuck a stick on the throttle (engine was running around 3000 rpm I would estimate). It was a raffle--guess the time and win. Engine seized at about 5 1/2 minutes.
