Bought a K frame for my 73 Dart and found out it doesn't fit

Trying to figure out what it is out of

Here is what I do know:

Spool type mounts measure around 3 3/4 inside to inside...V8?

Cross measurement of mounting holes from inside to inside is 33 1/8"

Width wise- the front holes (as mounted in a car) from inside to inside are 30 5/8"

K frame is slightly narrower in the front (Width of holes) than the rear?

Not smart enough to download a pic...........sorry..........

Any help greatly appreciated.....

Thanks in advance...

Also, if the front is narrower than the rear, it likely has been in an accident.
