Warm them up in the sun or an oven, apply lots of grease or Vaseline and slide 'em over the ball.

Do yourself a couple of favors. First, blueprint all the linkage parts so that the places where the connect to each other are fully flat against themselves. Use the plastic washers/grease holders, and make sure all the rods are perfectly squared and in true alignment with each other. I had to bend mine a bit and flatten some of the ends slightly to attain near perfect fit.
Second, polish any burs from the contact points and use synthetic disc brake grease to lubricate all moving parts. It won't harm rubber or plastic, lubricates better and will outlast virtually every other lubricant, has wider temperature range and it resists washout better than virtually anything else.
In over 30 years, I've never felt a Mopar linkage work as well as mine after I'd done this, and all my Mopar buddies are blown away with how well the linkage works.
1970 Plymouth 'Cuda #'s 440-6(block in storage)currently 493" 6 pack, Shaker, 5 speed Passon, 4.10's 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible 408 Magnum EFI with 4 speed automatic overdrive, 3800 stall lock-up converter and 4.30's (closest thing to an automatic 5 speed going)

My issue now is the Zbar seems " short"..need to shim a bit..washer? But everything looks like it will line up nice.. wont get back to it till the weekend.. Engine and trans install went perfect and everything is bolted up

There are several variations of Z-bars out there. I believe they had different ones for BB, SB and Slants. They are easy to modify if you have access to a welder.
