Is there any way to get a 71-74 wiper linkage to work on a 70? Are they the same length?
Or I guess it would be 72-74?
Yes you can with the right combination of parts. If you have a 70-71 motor you would need to change the drive pin inside the motor and then use the 3431518 crank and 3431514 link. If you dont care about the numbers on the motor you could use the motor, crank and link off any 72-74. If you are going with the 70-71 motor and changing the drive crank there is a timing issue inside you would have to deal with. Contact me and Ill help with that.

Can I use a readily available 2 speed β72 Charger wiper motor to replace my near impossible to find 2 speed β71 Charger wiper motor? *I realize I could get my β71 2 speed motor restored/repaired, but all Iβm looking for is a basic parts store price and quality
*The β72 wiper motor looks the same as my β71, but I am aware that the β71 B body uses wiper crank/pin arm 2822290, whereas the β72 Charger uses wiper crank/pin arm 3431553
When I look at pictures online of these two crank arms, they look virtually the same? So my question is: will I be able to use/mount my 2822290 crank arm on the β72 motor shaft?

Update for β70 & β71 E-body, and β71 B-body 2-Speed Wiper motor replacement:
I have learned that the readily available/affordable parts store β72 Charger(β73 Challenger) wiper motor is a direct bolt in, and the β71 linkage crank arm will bolt up, but is a bit loose due to the β72 motor has a smaller shaft.
For me, this resulted in sloppy wiper action: The wipers wouldnβt cover as much windshield, and the would not park properly(wouldnβt hide away completely) β due to the slop. Also, the β72 motor shaft Parks/stops in a slightly different position (*this probably also attributes to not parking in the correct position).
Upon further investigation I found out the β72 Crank arm motor shaft rectangular cutout is at a different angle than the β71 Crank arm. So, I purchased a β72 crank arm(pt#3431553) on eBay to go on my β72 motor. It fits perfectly w/no slop. Now my wipers work perfectly and park perfectly, - like brand new!
