moparmatt OP super stock M Joined: May 2004 Posts: 1,138 Albuquerque, New Mexico	Thanks Again!! installing a flip top gas cap on 73 challenger What hardware works (the four screws) Cant seem to get anything to thread? or was it a sheet metal type screw? Also I saw a posting a while back about trim ring loose cane find that posting what are some remedies for this? Thanks Again

Thanks Again Yes they use sheet metal screws and the factory screws won't work if your car has a aftermarket quarter panel and the flip top won't fit right either.

moparmatt OP super stock M Joined: May 2004 Posts: 1,138 Albuquerque, New Mexico	No this car is all original sheet metal, does anyone know what they used from factory as far as screws go, and how to tighten up finish ring around cap?

Morty426 master M Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 9,550 Sacramento CA	Matt, It's just the four filler neck screws. The make a sandwich: screw, flip top, trim ring, car body, gasket, filler neck No special screws or screws for the filler neck.

This creates tension from the body to the flip top. Otherwise it will flutter in the breeze going down the road and rub the paint.
