Thanks Again!! installing a flip top gas cap on 73 challenger What hardware works (the four screws) Cant seem to get anything to thread? or was it a sheet metal type screw? Also I saw a posting a while back about trim ring loose cane find that posting what are some remedies for this? Thanks Again Yes they use sheet metal screws and the factory screws won't work if your car has a aftermarket quarter panel and the flip top won't fit right either.

Matt,
It's just the four filler neck screws.
The make a sandwich: screw, flip top, trim ring, car body, gasket, filler neck
No special screws or screws for the filler neck. They are a phillips head sheet metal screw, think about 3/4 inch long and a #10. Some of the newer re-pop trim rings have to have a small bend in the tabs so it does not flop. This creates tension from the body to the flip top. Otherwise it will flutter in the breeze going down the road and rub the paint. Mine are #10x5/8" long.
