Does anyone know the part3 for a 2speed wiper motor for a 71 B body? It is year and body style specific.

Thanks

According to the Chrysler parts book, all '71 B and E bodies use the same wiper motor;

#2926929 2spd - 1971 B and E body

#3431077 variable speed - 1971 B and E body

FYI:

Bill Rolik has repro tags

There are nos on ebay;

Thanks for the part#. For going on my hoopty, the NOS stuff is normally outta my price range. They are asking $399 Another example, I want to replace my fendermounted turn signals....NOS set I came across is $350 holy moly. I'll stick with used is I can find them

Also, he lists part#3744854, so which should I look for? The one you listed above, or the one in the ebay listing?

Thanks again

The original part#, 2926929, was replaced by 3744854 at some point in time. Both part#s will work.

Some of the 2926929 P/N motors had the part number stamped in the ground strap. I have some originals I could restore for you. If you go looking for one be sure it only has 1 brass terminal as that is a reversing motor for 70-71 E-body and 71 B-body

Can I use a readily available 2 speed ’72 Charger wiper motor to replace my near impossible to find 2 speed ’71 Charger wiper motor?
*I realize I could get my ’71 2 speed motor restored/repaired, but all I’m looking for is a basic parts store price and quality

*The ’72 wiper motor looks the same as my ‘71, but I am aware that the ’71 B body uses wiper crank/pin arm 2822290, whereas the ’72 Charger uses wiper crank/pin arm 3431553

When I look at pictures online of these two crank arms, they look virtually the same?
So my question is: will I be able to use/mount my 2822290 crank arm on the ’72 motor?

Update for ’70 & ‘71 E-body, and ’71 B-body 2-Speed Wiper motor replacement:

I have learned that the readily available/affordable parts store ’72 Charger(’73 Challenger) wiper motor is a direct bolt in, and the ’71 linkage crank arm will bolt up, but is a bit loose due to the ’72 motor has a smaller shaft.

For me, this resulted in sloppy wiper action: The wipers wouldn’t cover as much windshield, and the would not park properly(wouldn’t hide away completely) – due to the slop.
Also, the ’72 motor shaft Parks/stops in a slightly different position (*this probably also attributes to not parking in the correct position).

Upon further investigation I found out the ’72 Crank arm motor shaft rectangular cutout is at a different angle than the ’71 Crank arm.
So, I purchased a ’72 crank arm(pt#3431553) on eBay to go on my ’72 motor. It fits perfectly w/no slop. Now my wipers work perfectly and park perfectly, - like brand new!

So we can use a 72 B body motor and arm and it's a direct bolt in to our 71 B bodys? Nice to know.
