Ok on the new Master Cylinder there is a Piston Retainer !! Does that stay on or do you remove before installing MC. Thanks Tom C

If it's manual brakes, that's where a retainer bolts. Not sure about power though.

OP never stated if it's a manual or power brake car. The keeper can remain in place either way, lots of us run manual with no pushrod bellows.
