How does the older LD4b compare to the current sm blk intakes?
I have read a lot of posts and it seems everyone has an opinion but no real proof. ...have there ever been any real tests stock or port matched to the larger port heads?

I wish I still had mine. I bought one new back in 1976 for my Dart and it worked well on the 273 with a Carter 9501S. I gave it to a friend for his 318. I think Herb McCandless did a manifold test 30 years ago. I've seen some dyno tests with the LD340, but not the LD4B.

Has 318 ports, LD340 is bigger.
Both are obsolete.
