Our track photographer caught Bruce Bowman giving his super stock springs a good work-out in his big block Mopar at Keystone recently. The old school springs are still lurking in LOTS of 9-10 and 11 second race cars.

We are lucky to not only have a great photographer but also a guy that video tapes every weekend. They both not only allow sharing they promote it. He even made a video for first timers at the track to help ease the learning curve

Great pic.

Any idea what the combo is and what it runs?

I ran SS springs for years. When they got tired the 60' times became pretty track prep dependant.
I ended up installing some XHD springs and cal tracs, which didn't really go any quicker(than the SS springs when it was hooking), but the consistency in the 60' times improved greatly.
I doubt I ever had enough umph to wind my SS springs as much as in that pic though.

Sorry I should have more info on his combo as we have raced together for 40 years but don't. I gave up on super stock springs in my 1974 duster years ago after going as fast as a 9.82 but track prep back then was nothing like today. I could go rounds Friday night but on Sunday when the sun was out I would spin after the track warmed up. His brother Tim build his engines (bowman performance) and is a member on moparts but rairly posts
