2JcodeChargers OP enthusiast 2 Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 339 Valley of the sun, AZ	Getting the gear box rebuilt on my 70 Coronet R/T. Are the boxes supposed to be Black or bare cast? I thought I remembered an article by Frank Badelson stating that they were painted Black originally? Thanx!!

You can buy a new/rebuilt gear box from Advance Auto Parts for about $100 (where I got mine) 70 Roadrunner convt. street car 440+6, NOS, 4-spd, SS springs '96 Mustang GT convt. street car '04 4.6 SOHC, NOS, auto, lowered "Officer, that button is for short on-ramps"
