I bought a boxed kit years ago with a bunch of different sized orings in it and it has paid for itself many times over I have the same type of thing.. about 40 different choices.. ID,OD and thickness... usually the ID and OD are set based on the thickness of the O-ring unless its something special(and that extension isnt special) ![wave wave](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/wave.gif)

Sealing materials react both favorably and adversely, to fluid properties. Yes they do... as of yet I havent had any issues with trans fluid and standard O-ring material... if I had a choice all my O-rings would be viton but they are hard to find in a big kit

if I had a choice all my O-rings would be viton but they are hard to find in a big kit try airconditioning or refrigeration parts suppliers. Viton is used a lot in that industry.

Once again don't over engineer things. Viton is great and needed in rare conditions but usually not needed. Heck in the steel mill well made a lot of our own orings using bulk cut to size rubber off a reel and glueing it together and if you want to see rough conditions take a steel mill tour

I just happened to have a MP kit and measured the O-ring "like the OP asked for". ![shruggy shruggy](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/shruggy.gif) No biggie...
