Looking for the dimensions for the o-ring that fits between the filter extension and the valvebody for the MP 727/904 deep pan aluminum extensions. Outside diameter, Inside diameter and cross-section thickness. Have not seen these advertised separately. Thanks, John

I have the same type of thing.. about 40 different
choices.. ID,OD and thickness... usually the ID and
OD are set based on the thickness of the O-ring unless
its something special(and that extension isnt special)
wave

Sealing materials react both favorably and adversely, to fluid properties.

Yes they do... as of yet I havent had any issues
with trans fluid and standard O-ring material...
if I had a choice all my O-rings would be viton
but they are hard to find in a big kit

try airconditioning or refrigeration parts suppliers. Viton is used a lot in that industry.

Once again don't over engineer things. Viton is great and needed in rare conditions but usually not needed. Heck in the steel mill well made a lot of our own orings using bulk cut to size rubber off a reel and glueing it together and if you want to see rough conditions take a steel mill tour

Can't believe this post is still going. It's a simple o-ring. Anyone that fits will work. Once its crushed against the vb $ filter case closed, it will never suck air. 2 cts.

Yep, just tryin' to help. If I needed one, I would have gone to my O-ring kit too, as it's saved me many times over. I just happened to have a MP kit and measured the O-ring "like the OP asked for". shruggy No biggie... wave

Thanks to ALL. I don't have the billet aluminum extension. I planned to mill an aluminum copy of the MP tube type extension and machine the o-ring groove, thus the reason for the o-ring dimensions. Thanks Again, John

a 1/8" o-ring generally requires a .108-.112 receiver depth on a mating part to seal against a flat surface. that is optimal. however, for this application, since the valve body casting is not flat, i would shoot for .105-.110 depth. or maybe .100-.108. hope this helps.
