Wow guys I bet Mike O'Malley didn't think this post would be so big and still going a year later. Sure don't seem like it has been so long but it was a great year for these cars, honestly I would rather watch them then the fuel cars. So anyone got news on new cars or rule changes to add to this.

The SS/AH class is going to have major growth in 2006 racing season,13 new cars are in production. This is going to be the largest class of heads up racing around.Hemi shootouts will be outstanding in 2006, They also plan on match racing at local tracks. lots of new 4-speed cars. I just can't wait for this action. The biggest news so far is the warfish will add another cuda to his racing team.It will be a four speed car.

who stopped racing? not me, just would like to sell my car so I can build another one. But looks like my new head business is going to generate enough income to support our racing program. here is a pic of our new stick car.

I always like to see what someone starts with. Then you can really appreciate the finished product.

In the past year I feel that I have bent over backwards to please my engine customers. That consists of Fred Henson, John Rains, and Randy and Mel Warford. I ran everyones engine in my car, made dvds, and even worked on 2 customers cars to try to help. While all of my customers seem to appreciate this, some of their other suppliers have taken offense to my critique of their products, so I made this offer to the car owner of the disturbed chassis builder, and will also make the offer to anyone else.

I will prepare the total combination for any customer from carbs to rear end at our shop, I will run it in my car. When I am done I will contact the customer to bring their car to the racetrack empty. I will make as many runs as nessasary to show what it is capable of, at that time we will pull it (which takes less than an hour) and the customer can install it in their vehicle. We will reserve the track into the next day if needed since every car I have worked on seems like it takes all day to put a motor in it.

Whenever they are ready to make runs we will run until the max is achieved, and if it is within .05 of my car I will pay all expenses incured with track rental, my time invested etc.
if it is not even close, which it probably wont be, the fee will be 3000.00 payed by the customer.

It should be noted that every engine I sell comes from carbs to convertor, and I run every one of them in my car as part of the deal, but after that my obligation to fix customers equipment is an added expense.

This may be a little extreme in some peoples eyes, but I am confident in my ability to produce, and if a chassis builder thinks that my motor is the problem and not his car than he should be willing to put up or shut up.

merry christmas to all

Charlie while you are on the subject of chassis builders, which ones do you rate the highest in your oppinion and only your oppinion. Seems like there has been alot of these guys coming out of the wood work lately.

the only person that has ever done anything for me is Gary Jennings in tenn. He builds "race" cars, not show cars. I worked on Rains' hansen car and thought it was pretty good also. Like you said its only my opinion, Gary has built 4 cudas, and so far we are the only one to finish one (actually 2) so far. some guy in detroit named Brian has had one for 2 years +, but hasnt got it done yet, and beshore has one that has been at the paint shop for 18 months. we had ours running in 4 weeks from when we picked it up in bare metal.

and I went to school with Brian. He's been doing all the work himself as much as possible in the garage. Does not have the big budget that some other people have. He builds nice stuff. I dont think he's planning on the #1 position, but should run good. I think he's planning to run power.
