I am going to use a fiberglass hood for my 67 Coronet. Going with the stock hinges, but need a low tension spring. I cant seem to find any for B-bodies. Does anyone know of a place?
Thanks. Happy 4th!

Check the for sale forum. Someone has been trying to sell a pair for at least 6 months.

I forgot where I bought mine originally but I have seen people post just go to lowes and buy the ones out of the hardware aisle.

As an alternative. I was going to go after some lightweight springs for the fiberglass hood on my car, but read posts about people who had tried various ones and the hood bowed up etc. So I went springless, and made a little prop rod from a metal tent stake (I bought a pack at the 99 cent store). The rod holds the hood up no problem.

I bought mine years ago at AAR fiberglass..they were too weak to hold up my hood, so I added to smaller springs from Lowe's inside those and that did the trick.

I got mine from Glasstek when I got the hood.

I've always used purple AAR hood springs. Perfect for my glass Airgrabber for the 71..
