Anyone know of a source for the temperature control cable for a AC equipped 79 D150? My original cable broke and the previous owner installed a generic pull cable in the dash. I would like to correct this and get it working as it should.

Thanks

Do you have a picture of what it should look like? Length? I have a cable but its off a newer truck.... It might work for you. Otherwise it helps to have a part number to search.

No unfortunately the cable is missing. I have a lead on a used one but it's seized up from rust, but will at least have a visual to go off. Haven't had luck in finding a PN searching the net.

The rusty one could be soaked in PB Blaster and might free up and that would save you having to search for a replacement.

Good thought will give it a try if I can get my hands on it.

Brads NOS shows 1 and Silke's auto Parts show 4 on inventory also.

For that number listed above.

Just a reminder, if you ever need cables like this, motorcycle shops tend to be equipped with with everything you may need to fabricate a new replacement cable. smile
